Does a Flamin’ Hot Cheetos movie sound right up your alley? Well, start feeling hungry and excited! It was recently announced that beloved star Eva Longoria will direct the film. And you will not believe some of the stars...

Telling The Story Of Flamin’ Hot Cheetos

Yes, you read that right. Eva Longoria will direct a Flamin' Hot Cheetos movie. Well, not a movie about the product itself. Instead, it will tell the story of Flamin' Hot Cheetos creator Richard Montañez. For those who don't know, Montañez worked as a janitor at a Frito-Lay factory in Rancho Cucamonga, California, in the '90s. When a Cheetos machine broke, he deiced to take a bag home. While at home he went home and sprinkled some chili powder on the corn puffs - something he had done to other chips as a child. Upon tasting the combo, Montañez knew he had something special!

Soon enough, Montañez had a meeting with Roger Enrico, Frito-Lay's CEO at the time, who also loved the product! Now, Flamin' Hot Cheetos have become a beloved snack. In just a few months, Montañez had gone from janitor to company man! Now, actress-turned-director Longoria will tell his story.

While Longoria has directed episodes of shows like Devious Maids, Black-ish, The Mick, and Telenovela, this will be her first time helming a major motion picture. While there's no release date yet for this delicious-sounding film, we do know who will star in the movie...

According to Longoria, she has one simple goal for making this Flamin' Hot Cheetos movie: to tell an authentic, true story. So, as you could have likely guessed, she has selected two Mexican-Americans to play the lead role. Actor Jesse Garcia from the hit films like Quinceañera and The Avengers will take on the title role of Montañez. This one of his first major starring roles, so Hollywood's sure to be keeping on eye on him.

Meanwhile, Annie Gonzalez from Gentefied will portray his wife, Judy. Gonzalez has also starred in plenty of other hit shows, like Vida, Shameless, and Legion. Apart from her work on the big screen, she also hosts a YouTube show where she discusses the struggles of being a Latina actress in Hollywood.

“I am so happy to have two extremely talented and fellow Mexican Americans on board in these pivotal roles,” Longoria said. “Jesse and Annie have a deep understanding of our community and will be able to help tell this story of great importance for our culture.” We can't wait to see how the movie turns out!
